Beijing Traditional View Hotel, Beijing

I was promised a very clean room which was mostly true, but the bathroom lock was misplaced. The hotel is situated in a good location with easy access to tourist spots, but our late-night dusty room was a letdown. Despite this, the hotel is close to eateries and the metro, offering convenience.

The hotel offers a convenient location near the famous artwork street, ideal for exploring the city. The service was exceptional, with a kind gesture from Nancy. However, the rooms lacked proper decoration and cleanliness was an issue. Dining was described as good, yet breakfast timings were early. Overall, a recommended stay for its prime location and welcoming service.

My stay at the hotel had its ups and downs. The rooms were not soundproof at all, and I had to switch to a different room decorated in Chinese style, although it was damp and infested with mosquitoes due to broken window screens. The general maintenance seemed poorly finished. The service was helpful overall, and the staff, including the manager, tried to accommodate our needs, though they struggled with providing local information. The location was excellent, right beside a famous alley full of shops and restaurants, but a bit tricky to find at first. Unfortunately, the dining finishes early, and I missed out on breakfast one day.

The hotel is situated in a lovely Chinese Hutong, close to major attractions like Drum Tower and Lama Temple, making it excellent for exploring the Hutong. The rooms, though beautiful and comfortable, were quite small and some were very dusty. The service was generally friendly and accommodating, though staff sometimes struggled with English late at night. Dining options were limited but reasonably priced. The hotel did have some tricky dark alleys surrounding its location.

The rising damp on the walls was quite concerning, despite the staff downplaying it. The noise from the hallway was very disruptive, making it challenging to relax.

Room's didn't have a good view and were noisy due to proximity to reception. Slightly old rooms needing a refresh, but the location is good and quiet with friendly staff. Breakfast offers a range of Chinese dishes but not worth the price.
